Details

Experience what it's like to hunt in beautiful Eastern Oregon on 5,800 acres of private land near Fossil, Oregon. This hunt is for the second rifle elk season for up to 4 people, one LOP elk tag per person. 3 of the LOP tags are either sex, and the 4th tag is antlerless. This is a working cattle ranch and the hunter(s) may run into cattle, riders on horses, ATVs, etc.

All hunting will be unguided. We recommend having the OnX Hunt app installed on your phone or carry a GPS. A map will be provided upon arrival. Fall weather is unpredictable and can change both drastically and suddenly. We recommend hunters be in good physical condition and always travel in pairs. In addition to extra clothing, hunters should pack, at least, a map, compass or GPS, whistle, water, food, matches and paper, and a first aid kit.

There is limited cell service. ATVs are not allowed, but if a hunter needs help getting their animal, we can assist them with an ATV/trailer. The land is divided several ways by county gravel roads, drive-in access to the property is available in some areas.

Camping is allowed in certain areas and water is available for filling portable containers at the houses. Fires are permitted only in the fire ring by the pond. Dig a hole for using the bathroom, or a porta potty can be ordered for an additional fee.
